Nathan Burton Comedy Magic Debuts Inside the Flamingo Showroom on Monday, April 21st

Veteran Las Vegas entertainer takes center stage at one of the city’s most iconic resorts

LAS VEGAS – (April 16, 2008) – Nathan Burton Comedy Magic will make its debut inside the legendary showroom at Flamingo Las Vegas on Monday, April 21st, at 4pm. After more than 10 years in Las Vegas, Burton is thrilled to be performing inside such an iconic Las Vegas landmark. Guests can expect many of Burton’s signature illusions that earned him critical acclaim during performances on NBC’s America’s Got Talent and E! Entertainment’s – The Entertainer starring Wayne Newton. Of course, as with any good showman, a few tricks still remain up Burton’s sleeve.
“Because I’ve had the good fortune of performing for so many years in Vegas and around the world, and because of my national TV appearances, I’m known for two illusions in particular – the Microwave of Death and the Steamroller,” Burton said. “These, along with my other signature illusions, will be incorporated into my show at the Flamingo – and I’ve been working on a couple of surprises for those who have seen my show in the past.”

With the help of renowned set designer, Andy Walmsley (who has designed sets for American Idol, Who Wants to be a Millionaire and America’s Got Talent), Nathan Burton Comedy Magic features a brand new set that is bigger and better than anything Burton has showcased in the past. The main component of the set is 43 feet across and 23 feet tall – and because it’s made mostly of aluminum – it only weighs about 1,000 pounds.

“I met Nathan on the set of America’s Got Talent and was really drawn to his ability to do these great magical illusions while still being able to make the audience laugh,” Walmsley said. “When he asked me if I’d help him create something really special for his show at the Flamingo I couldn’t resist the opportunity.”
